WHO ARE WE?

ICMG (under IGMG) Children's Club organizes activities for its club members across 14 countries and 38 regions. Every child between the ages of 3 and 13 is a natural member of the Children's Club.

Through the activities it conducts, the ICMG Children's Club brings together children within this age group under its umbrella, supporting them in gaining an identity and in their socialization process.

Member cards featuring their photographs are prepared and sent out to children who join the club. Furthermore, the ICMG Children's Club sends a gift to each of its members on their birthdays. Membership to the Children's Club is subject to a fee. Let's become a member or gift your loved ones a one-year Kids Club membership!

STRUCTURE OF THE ICMG CHILDREN'S CLUB

The Children's Club operates under the auspices of the ICMG (under IGMG) Education Department. It organizes its activities through a Department Head at the Headquarters, and via representatives in the regions and local branches.

Gökkuşağı Magazine

Our Children's Club Magazine is published every month except for July and August. It contributes significantly to the personality development and sense of belonging of children growing up in Europe. It is the first Turkish children's magazine prepared in Europe. Furthermore, since 2022, it has also been published in Bosnian under the name "MIRAVKO" in Bosnia and Herzegovina. With its content tailored for children in Europe and a format compatible with pedagogical standards, Gökkuşağı Magazine is a unique publication. It publishes religious and moral values using a language that children can understand and love, while placing a strong emphasis on visuals.

Gökkuşağı contributes to the self-confidence development of our biculturally raised children, and supports families in developing their children's identity, mother tongue, and transferring religious and moral values. It pays special attention to forming general knowledge and conveying current topics in an entertaining way. With its extensive content, Gökkuşağı Magazine fills an important gap in its field. Alongside current topics, it prepares children for school education through scientific subjects and experiments.

The Gökkuşağı children's magazine is sent to children who are members of the ICMG Children's Club. In this way, children are addressed directly and provided with a media outlet through which they can express themselves by sharing their own writings and drawings. Gökkuşağı Magazine reaches children in 11 European countries, as well as in the UK, Australia and Canada. Read the previous issues of the Magazine.

Children's ʾIftārs with the Children's Club

Children's ʾIftārs with the Children's Club

Children's ʾIftārs is a key activity that instills Ramadan awareness in Children's Club members. During the specially prepared ʾiftār program for children, those who are just beginning to fast, those who keep the "boat fast" (half-day fast), and those who fast continuously are rewarded, while other children are encouraged to fast. Various activities are prepared for the children before the iftar time, and following a colorful iftar dinner, they collectively participate in the Tarawih prayer at the mosque. For Eid al-Fitr, a special "Eid Festival" is invariably organized for the children. Gifts are distributed and different performances are staged during the festival. Similar events are also organized during Eid al-Adha and on holy nights (Kandil days).

Running in Good Deeds

Running in Good Deeds

"Running in Good Deeds" is an annual sports festival organized by the Children's Club. Through this event, children become partners in charitable work through their own efforts and initiative, while developing their social awareness.

Children's Club Festivals and Commemoration Programmes

Children's Club Festivals and Commemoration Programmes

By organizing a special "Eid Festival" for children during Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, as well as "Commemoration Programmes" on holy days and nights, it is ensured that children get to know and appreciate these occasions in accordance with their true meaning. This is a children's entertainment event organized once a year for children aged 3–13 who receive education within the Islamic Community Milli Görüş organizations.

First Day of School Prayer Day with the Children's Club

First Day of School Prayer Day with the Children's Club

As the Children's Club, in order to alleviate the school anxieties of children who are just starting their education and to share in their excitement, prayers are offered in our mosques before the children head to school, ensuring they make a spiritually meaningful beginning. Our local branch Children’s Clubs identify members who are about to start school and prepare a special morning program for them at the mosque on their first day. The mosque's imam offers advice on school and education to both the children and their parents, and collective prayers are made for their success in their academic lives. Special gifts are distributed to the children. Their older brothers and sisters (mentors) also stand by them, ensuring they do not feel alone on this major step in their lives.

Transition to Youth

Transition to Youth

The "Transition to Youth" programs are held annually for members who reach the age of 13 and graduate from the Children's Club.
During this program, the new young members are symbolically "handed over" to older mentors attending the event from the ICMG Women's Youth Department (KGT) and the Youth Department (GT), and are subsequently integrated into big brother-little brother or big sister-little sister groups. The Youth Departments ensure that these members take their places within the organization, participate in secondary education programs, and are trained to become future administrative staff for the youth organization. A transition certificate and special gifts are symbolically presented during the program. The list of members transitioning to the youth departments can be obtained from the Headquarters.
