WHO ARE WE?

ICMG UK Peckham Branch Youth Department provides young Muslims with various activities to support them in developing an Islamic identity and turning into socially responsible young adults.

While enabling the young Muslims to adopt Islamic teachings and values and contribute to the society they live in, the Youth Department also wants them to internalize and promote humanitarian virtues like kindness, solidarity and justice.

Raising generations in accordance with the principle "pleasing to Allah, useful to people" is the main purpose of the Youth Department. In this regard, the spiritual guidance services constitute the backbone of the department.

Beginning with teenage education, the Youth Department accompanies Muslim youths up to university age in their spiritual, educational and professional development with relevant activities in order to support them in their journey towards becoming self-confident young adults.

ICMG "under IGMG" youths were first organised under the name of "Youth Branch" in 1985. In the course of time, IGMG youths extended their field of activity and are now active in 34 regions and 430 local communities with 3625 administrators. With circa 16.500 members, the Youth Department provides about 80.000 Muslim adolescents with a variety of services.
