Structure, vision, and active programs
WHO ARE WE?
ICMG UK Peckham Branch Women's Youth Department provides young Muslim girls with various activities to support them in constructing an Islamic identity and developing into socially responsible young adults.
While enabling the young Muslims to adopt Islamic teachings and values and contribute to the society they live in, the Women's Youth Department also wants them to internalize and promote humanitarian virtues like kindness, solidarity and justice.
Raising generations in accordance with the principle "pleasing to Allah, useful to people" constitutes the main goal of the Women's Youth Department. In this regard, the spiritual guidance services constitute the backbone of the department.
Beginning with teenage education, the Women's Youth Department accompanies the Muslim youth up to the university age in their spiritual, educational and professional development with relevant activities in order to support them in their journey towards becoming self-confident young adults.
The Women's Youth Department was established in 2009 together with all the related units and today it is active in 32 regions and 403 local communities with its 2631 administrators. The Women's Youth Department together with its circa 9259 members, offers its services to approximately 50.000 young Muslim girls.

The community study circles are held on given topics at local community centres under the guidance of religious mentors or leading young community members. Within the frame of local gatherings a number of other social activities also take place.
This is a youth mentoring project, which brings voluntary female university students together with secondary school children. The young girls are matched with suitable "big sisters" to help them in schoolwork, family matters and community activities. The aim of the project is to help the young girls to build positive relationships both in family and school, to avoid risky behaviour and to support them in developing into responsible young individuals by giving them the required attention and affection they need.
Education and career fairs are designed to help and give consultation to secondary and high school students during the decision making process for their prospective study programmes in the desired universities.
In cooperation with the Youths' Department, the Students Department organises various academic seminars, panels, symposiums and career training courses, as well as the UNIDAY Organisation. While academic field trips to different cities and places provide regional student representatives with useful experiences and new perspectives, various conferences designed for academic people are conducted with the help of networking activities implemented with "UniAkademi".
Various social relief activities such as the "Cataract Campaign", the "Ramadan Project" and the "Compete in Good Deeds Project" are performed in order to develop social awareness and solidarity among the young Muslims.
The excursions and city trips on the other hand, serve to bring the young people closer to the places and facts, which are crucial for their individual development and which lead them to reflect upon what they experience. Additionally, the Women's Youth Department offers tutoring classes for children and organises graduation ceremonies for high school and university students.
